安全行動によって嫌われることは回避できても、相手に好感を与えることはできず、結果として距離を縮めたり、交流を深めることはできないのかもしれません。

一方でチームは、今回の実験プロセスについて、SADと非SADグループで年齢差が大きいこと、協力者（女性）との会話で性別が一致しないこともあったため、それにより不安感が増した可能性など、いくつかの限界があることも認めています。

チームは今後、この問題点を解消した実験を行い、SADと安全行動に関する理解を深めていく予定です。

この研究は社会不安障害（SAD）を持つ人々を対象に行われたものですが、人から嫌われないように無難なコミュニケーションを選択することは誰にでも少なからず起きることです。

自分をさらけ出すことを恐れていては、真に良好な人間関係は築けないのかもしれません。
