ネタニヤフ政権はハマス攻撃の予兆を事前に知っていたというニュースを「完全な嘘」、「フェイクニュース」だとしています。

エジプト情報当局者がTimes of Israelに語ったところによると、イスラエルは『何か大きなもの』に関する度重なる警告を無視し、またエジプトの情報大臣がテロ攻撃の10日前にネタニヤフ首相に個人的に電話をかけたという。
ネタニヤフ首相は、これは “完全な嘘 “であり、”フェイクニュース “だと述べている。
2001年9月11日に米国を襲った同時多発テロになぞらえて、10月7日のハマス攻撃はイスラエルの9.11だとされています。当時のブッシュ大統領はアルカイダによるテロ攻撃の兆しを察知する情報を事前に得ていたようですが、あまり関心を示していなかったそうです。ネタニヤフ首相がエジプトからの警告を同様に無視していたとすれば、ブッシュ氏と似たような対応を取っていたことになります。
